AUX SOINS DE
Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home & Memorial Park
Irving F. Houck was born in Cook Falls, New York, and after proudly serving 22 years in the Army and Air Force, he called Newport News, Virginia his home.
Irving was preceded in death by his wife, Margot Houck; parents, Grace Elizabeth Houck and Raymond Wood Houck Sr. and brother, Raymond Wood Houck, Jr.
Alive to cherish his memories, are Irving's children, Tammy Brown and Irving Martin, as well as his sister, Christina Howard and her children, Debbie, Jeff, Mindy and Tammy. He also made many dear friends along the way that will miss him.
Upon retiring from the Air Force in Goldsboro, North Carolina, Irving moved his family to Charles City, Virginia to become the caretaker of a 1,000-acre farm. There, his focus became restoring the property, and it is now considered a Virginian landmark.
Irving also held many other job titles, such as truck driver, bus driver, and painter. On the rare occasion that he wasn't working, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and dancing.
Due to the current pandemic, there will not be a service at this time.
Please feel free to share fond memories and words of condolence with the family.
