Jacquelyn Sue Hanks

Jacquelyn “Sue” Hanks of Hampton, Virginia passed away Tuesday July 30, 2019 in Virginia at the age of 81 years, 9 months, 5 days. She was born October 25, 1937 in Abilene, TX to the late Jack and Florence Cochran. She was a real estate agent and appraiser until she retired in 2009.

Her daughter Debra Ann Gordon preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son James David Hanks and husband Tim Kerns of Washington, DC; son-in-law Gary Gordon of Newport News, VA; daughter Kimberly Sue Easter and husband Gordon of Hampton, VA, and son Barry Lee Hanks of Hampton, VA; Six grandchildren: Thomas Jenkins and wife Shana of Toano, VA, Christina Carpenter and husband Cecil of Providence Forge, VA, Nikki Ross and husband Jason of Katy, TX, and Kelsey Seals of Newport News, VA, Wesley Easter and McKenzie Easter both of Newport News, VA; Nine great grandchildren: Hannah Johnson, Ayden Johnson, and Averi Jenkins of Toano, VA, Kaylei Kipper, Chloe Carpenter, and Sawyer Carpenter of Providence Forge, VA, Julianna Ross and Nella Ross of Katy, TX, and Roman Seals of Newport News, VA; Cousin Juda McKinney; Friend and caregiver Nancy Herzog of Hampton, VA.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Parklawn Memorial Park 2551 N. Armistead Ave Hampton, VA 23666.
