Janet was predeceased by her parents, Benjamin and Dorothy Jazombek, her brother, Chuck Jazombek, her son, Dennis Jazombek and her husband, Peter Fitzpatrick. Surviving Janet are her sisters, Patricia Griffin (Gene Giannone) of Port Orange, FL and Deb Ptasinski of Cohoes, NY.
Janet was employed by the Grumman Corporation on Long Island as a project manager. She is a lifetime VFW Post 3219 Auxiliary Member.
Janet and her husband, Peter, were well known for their annual New Year's Day and Easter parties; always a great time. Many friends looked forward to the parties every year!
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, June 29, 2024, followed by a celebration of Janet's life and luncheon at the VFW Post 3219, 122 East Mellon St, Hampton, VA 23663. Friends and family are welcome.
