Jerail "JJ" Xavier Jones

Jerail Xavier "JJ" Jones, 20, of Hampton departed this life on Wednesday, July 25, 2012. He was born on December 22, 1991 to Glen Jones, Sr. and Regina Jones in Honolulu, Hawaii. He received his formal education through the Newport News and Hampton city public schools, and he excelled in his studies. Jerail graduated from Bethel High School in 2010. He was an avid baseball player on the Northampton Little League, the Hampton All Stars, and Bethel's Varsity Baseball League. In his leisure time he loved spending time with friends and family and he enjoyed hunting and riding his motorcycle.

Jerail was employed at Coliseum Park Nursing Home as a HVAC maintenance worker, where he learned to love the residents and his co-workers. He was truly blessed with friends and family.

Jerail was preceded in death by his great-grandmothers, Viola Fulmore and Ruth Miller; great-grandfather, Roosevelt Miller; grandparents, Virgil and Thelma R. Jones and Chester L. Taylor, all of Indianapolis, IN.

He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Glen Jones, Sr. and Regina Jones; brothers, Glen Jr. and Angela, and Joshua Alexander Jones and Jasmine; nieces, Paige Lauler and Havana Jones; grandmother, Josephine M. Jackson; and a host of uncles, cousins, friends and other loving relatives.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. Interment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana at a later date.
