A resident of Hampton, Virginia, for over 50 years, John made his home in Hampton Roads where he raised his children and cared for his beloved family. He was a self-made man and entrepreneur working alongside his brother providing landscaping and tree services to most of the Hampton area. Not only was John a devout man of Catholic faith but he was also a very devoted father and grandfather. These praises would be sung from his children and grandchildren through ought his life and earned him many accolades as the World’s Best Dad and World’s Best Grandpa. He spoiled his grandchildren often with sweets (before dinner of course) and found simple pleasures in things like a ham sandwich. John was someone who stayed positive no matter the circumstances and was always someone with a very big heart.
John is survived by his daughter Crystal Normandeau; his father Howard Lawrence Normandeau; his three brothers, Joseph Normandeau, Howard Normandeau, Charles Normandeau, Sr.; and his four sisters, Sharon Zakowsky, Wendi Normandeau, Debra Stevens and Patricia Culligan; his sons Christopher and Victor Arvelo; and his 4 grandchildren Charlies Diehl, Carlie Diehl, Charles Diehl and Shareese Lee.
