Joshua Ray Gaulding

Joshua Ray Gaulding, 35, of Newport News, was called home on Sunday, August 5, 2018. A native of Hampton, Joshua graduated from Kecoughtan High School, attended Virginia Tech, and worked at Shawels TV and appliance. He attended Liberty Baptist Church. Joshua was preceded in death by his father, Edward Ray Gaulding, Jr.; grandfather, Edward Ray Gaulding, Sr.; grandmother, Virginia McCrary; and cousin, Kristie McCrary. He leaves behind his loving mother, Kelly Bowman (husband Ronnie); three brothers, Matthew Payne, Jarad Payne, Jeremiah Gaulding; sister, Hope Bowman; grandparents, Parlie McCrary, and Phyllis Gaulding; other special relatives, Randy and Sandra McCrary, Greg McCrary, Brian Gaulding, Cindy Monroe, Alverna and Diane Payne, and Bill Payne and Karen Daube; cousins, Justin McCrary and Aimee Monroe; and two life-long friends, Mike Cavanaugh and Bobby McNeely. The family will receive friends at 5:00 pm, Friday, August 10, 2018 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home and Memorial Park followed by a celebration of Joshua’s life at 6:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Joe Hunt officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Kelly Bowman to be designated for a future cause.
