Joyce May Holland

She was a devoted wife of 67 years and a wonderful, loving, and devoted mother to her 11 children and a loving and devoted grandmother to all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Rita Gay Holland and Wanda Sue Holland; her mother, Ruby Howard of Richmond; sister, Edith Robbins of Richmond; and father, Lawrence L. Harris of Richmond. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Cecil Fred Holland, Sr.; 9 children and their spouses, Diane Wood (Dennis), Fred Holland, Jr. (Wanda), Joe Holland (Jennifer), Ron Holland (Karen), Theresa "Tee" Matthews (Ric), Jane Finney (John), Anita James (David), Debbie Oliver (Jeff), David Holland (Amy); She is also survived by her grandchildren, Cindy, Christy, Karen, Donna, Howard, Evan, Denise, Casey, Ashlee, Tyler, Terrah, Jay, Sarah, Greg, Derek, Britni, Christopher, Michael, Tina, Elizabeth, and Zachery; her great-grandchildren, Ryan, Johnny, Danylle, Jessie, Jamie, Lathan, Carson, Mikayla, Paisley, Makayla, Porter, Kayla; sister, Marjorie Forstmann; host of neices, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Family will receive friends 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Joyce's life will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home with interment to follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society.
