

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Catherine Adams, brother Normie and sister Mary Little (Ronnie). She is survived by her children Wayne Jr. (Laurie), Donna Nichols (Bobby), Jeffrey “Jeff” (Laura) and Dana Watkins (Russell).
Judy was raised in the Wythe area of Hampton, Virginia and attended Hampton High School. She married and raised her family initially in Wythe then in 1973 moved to the family’s home in Poquoson. Judy was a full-time homemaker while raising her family. Later in life, she became an educator at Playtime Learning Center where she taught 4 year old preschool for many years. Fondly known as “Ms. Judy”, she shared her unconditional love with countless children and parents. Judy loved the water. She could frequently be found at the beach, lake or in her pool. She loved to go soft crabbing and fishing and enjoyed cooking and watching her favorite TV shows. Judy’s favorite meal was a McDonald’s double cheeseburger (no pickles), small fry and senior iced tea with extra ice and two Equal. She also loved to have lunch with her friend Elaine on Thursdays at Cracker Barrel where a turkey dinner was the food of choice. She enjoyed traveling and shopping with her friends. She always put her family first and loved nothing better than spending time in her role as GanGan / Granny to her 15 grandchildren: Blake (Nader), Brett (Meghan), Blair (Andy), Morgan (Kyle), Kyle (Emily), Cameron, Mark (Kim), Colton (Taylor), Emily (Alex), Renee (Michael), Kristi (Shaun), Mandy (Josh), Candice (Nathan), Curtis (Jessica), and Courtney (George) as well as 21 great grandchildren: Rollins, Rita, Charlie, Hali, Tillie, Laney, Parker, Stella, Alivia, Sophie, Sadie, Savannah, Taylor, Kali, Teagan, Wyatt, Owen, Emmett, Mylah, Harper and Hilarie.
Judy was the family matriarch providing her family with wisdom, strength, nurturing and unconditional love. Judy was a member of Wythe Presbyterian Church and trusted God with her life and family. She firmly believed in God’s will throughout her life.
Judy’s life will be celebrated at 1:00pm on January 2, 2025 with a graveside service at Parklawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Hampton, Virginia. The family wishes to thank the staff of Riverside Hospital and Poquoson Fire Department for their care and compassion during Judy’s final days.
