Kathryn Kitty Hudgins Hudgins Rowe

Kathryn was a telephone operator with C&P Telephone. She was a member of Wythe Presbyterian Church. After getting married, Kathryn retired from her paying job and concentrated on raising her family. Her hospitality to all who visited the Rowe home was unsurpassed.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer “Fabby” Rowe; parents, Charles and Daisy Hudgins; brother, Floyd Hudgins; and sister, Florence Estes. She is survived by her sons, Jesse Rowe and wife, Kay of Toano, and Barry Rowe and wife, Susan of Chesapeake; daughters, Sandra Tracer of Toano, and Debbie Edmonds and husband, Bobby of Newport News; grandchildren, Jeremy, Jenny, Lauren, Rachel, Robby and Brandon; six great-grandchildren; and best friend of 70 years, Addie Burgess.

Special thanks to Norma Morgan for her friendship and going the extra mile to help mom feel loved during some difficult days.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Kathryn’s life will be held Wednesday, June 17, at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
