

Kurt Vaughn Taskey, 52, of York County passed away unexpectedly on January 14, 2024. He was born on March 25,1971. Kurt was a caring husband, loving son,a very proud dad, and a loving member of his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In his youth, Kurt played baseball, and basketball. Kurt loved being out on his boat, fishing with his girls. He was a fan of the Washington Commanders and enjoyed listening to country music,during his softer moments, Barry Manilow. Kurt had a special place in his heart for his dogs, Max and Bruno. They brought him great joy and companionship.
Kurt had a remarkable sense of direction and was known as everyone's human GPS. He always knew how to get anywhere, at any time, from any location all while in his beloved truck. In his younger, 'wilder' years, his friends joked that he should have raced at Langley Speedway. Kurt was a gentle giant who was always there for anyone in need. Family mattered most to him, and he was a dedicated supporter of his wife and daughters. Whether it was attending band concerts/competitions or cheering his girls on at the many soccer, softball, football, and basketball games. Kurt was a good man that truly loved his wife, his two girls, and his entire family.
Kurt is survived by his beloved wife, Tanya Taskey, and his daughters, Michele and Linsey Taskey. He is also survived by his mother, Janice Taskey Randolph, his sister, Ashleigh Randolph, and wife Lailah, his stepbrother, James Randolph, and wife Susanne, his parents-in-law, Thomas and Monika Worrell, his sister-in-law, Stephanie Diffin, and husband Rich, as well as his nephews, Derrell Diffin, Brandon Randolph, Ryan Randolph, and niece Kristen Diffin. Kurt leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in Indiana, Florida, Ohio, Maine, and Germany. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Taskey, his brother, Troy Taskey, his stepfather, Paul Randolph, and his paternal grandparents, Edith and Floyd Taskey, and maternal grandparents, Lucy and George Watson. He is also preceded in death by his grandparents-in-law, Joe and Hedi Lorenczi.
Kurt graduated from Tabb High School in 1989 and furthered his education at ECPI. He enjoyed a successful career as the Director of Information Services at the Behavioral Health Center, Universal Health Services.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 3:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 4:00 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home in Hampton, VA. The caring professionals at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home will be assisting the family during this difficult time.
