LaManual Lee McKinney II

Mr. LaManual Lee McKinney II, son of LaManual Lee and Tracy Laverne McKinney, was born March 16, 1991 in Warner Robins, GA. He entered eternal peace on November 7, 2012 at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, Norfolk, VA.

He was a graduate of Denbigh High School, Newport News, VA Class of 2010. He was an active member of the community and joined Boy Scouts of America, Post 140 for persons with disabilities. He regularly attended Post 140 activities such as sock hops, swimming, bowling, and Special Olympic Field Day.

Those left to cherish precious memories are his loving and devoted parents, LaManual and Tracy McKinney of Hampton, VA; one sister, LaTissha Boyce of Hampton, VA; one brother-in-law, Jason Boyce of Hampton, VA; paternal grandparents, General and Betty McKinney Jr. of Waxhaw, NC; maternal grandparents, James and Ruth Massey Jr. of Monroe, NC; nephew, Jason Boyce II of Hampton, VA; niece, Aliyah Boyce of Hampton, VA; five uncles, General McKinney III, David McKinney, Torrey McKinney, and James Massey III; eight aunts, Marilyn Glenn, Sharon Stitt, Tanja McKinney, Shea Sherman, Brenda Allen, Dr. Linda Strong-Leek and Laura Sabrina Warren; many great uncles and aunts and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of LaManual's life will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Bethel Manor Chapel, 1793 1st Avenue, in Hampton. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
