Our deepest sympathy for the loss of your Mother and our hope that in her much too early loss you can find some comfort in her release of her pain and suffering. I remember Jennifer and you sitting under the Christmas Tree laughing and playing together - as your Mother and I shared stories about the happy cousin's play times. The journey you face will not be easy and knowing that we have also taken that journey too too many times, we want to offer you any help that you might need. Your mother's stellar love, support, and her pride in you will hopefully, offer you some peace of mind. We would like to offer a poem by Christina Rossetti "Remember Me" that has helped our family through many losses. May it lighten your burden.
Love to you --- Uncle John, Aunt Barbara, Tray, Eric, Jennifer, and Mason (PA) and Aunt Earnestine and Family (NC)
Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.

I met Linda when I was about 6 yrs. We were neighbors on Mitchell Rd. in Hampton, Va. My Dad was in the Army stationed at Ft. Monroe. I have fond memories of her as a kid.
Linda & my Mom became good friends. They kept up with each other over the years.
After I came back to Newport News in '83. I enjoyed helping her with different things at her Home in Poquoson at the time. I remember standing outside her home talking with her after I'd put Moth Balls in her Attic to get rid of some Squirrels. The Squirrels started throwing the Moth Balls at me out of the Attic. We both laughed about it. The Squirrels left.
I saw Linda the night before she died. She was in a Coma. I talked to her. I knew she could hear me. She even smiled at me a couple times that night. I was glad I saw her one last time.
I'm will always cherish & be very thankful for my friendship with Linda.
She will be missed!

I first want to leave my sincere condolences to Linda's Family and Love ones, and May they find Comfort and Ease in Knowing she is no longer in Pain but Wrapped in the Arms of God and Angels.. What a celebration in Heaven she is now with her Beloved Father, and all those that she loved that past before her. I have been Linda's devoted Friend since we were 14 years old and Her Family was stationed and lived in Fort Monroe, Va. Over the years we have laughed and shared so many Beautiful Memories, she Knew no matter the time, day or night she could call on me.. I will sincerely Miss My Dearest Friend, and there will be a empty place in my heart without her.. then again I will be seeing her again. Rest My Beautiful Friend, your kindness and compassion for everyone you helped in life, which I may say was Many, Those stars surrounding your Crown in Heaven are Bright.
Always the Love Now and Forever
