Linda Wallace Melson

Linda was a native of Hampton, and she retired as a librarian with the Hampton City School System. She was a longtime member of Fox Hill Central United Methodist Church, and she spent her retirement at church activities and spending time with her loving family.

Left to cherish Linda's memory is her husband, James "Eddie" Melson; son, Michael W. Melson (Jean); daughter, Melody Earman (Tom); three grandchildren: Julie Gill (Brandon), Adam White (Amanda), and Michele Ferk (Jason); seven great-grandchildren: Lawrence White, Kaleb White, Kaitlyn White, Colby Gill, Carter Gill, McKenna Gill, and Trevor Ferk; brother, Donnie Wallace; and sister, Beverly Moore (Clay).

Memorial contributions can be made in Linda's name to Fox Hill Central United Methodist Church.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Taylor Reynolds for all of her help during Linda's illness; she became a part of our family.

A visitation for Linda will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 12:30 PM at Fox Hill Central United Methodist Church, 501 Beach Rd, Hampton, VA 23664. A funeral service will occur at 1:30 PM, followed by interment at Parklawn Memorial Park, 2551 North Armistead Ave, Hampton, Virginia 23666.
