

Margaret Heath, 88 departed from her family home to be with her Holy Savior on Friday July 19, 2013. She was a native of North Carolina and a resident of Hampton VA for 40 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church Fox Hill in Hampton.
Margaret met and married the love of her life, Clifton R. Heath, in 1949 while he was serving in the U.S. Air Force. Margaret loved to travel and she enjoyed being stationed in France, Alaska, Hawaii, and several Bases in United States. They made their home in Hampton when Clifton retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1973. Margaret was a homemaker and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family and friends. Margaret will always be remembered for her pleasant personality and loving spirit.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Minnie Banks; sisters, Pattie Mills, Mary Kellum, Laura Grice, and Erma Banks; and brothers, Mack and Gene Banks. She was survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Clifton Heath; son, Randall Heath and wife Patricia of San Diego, CA.; daughter, Sandra Palko and husband George; and grandchildren, Shelley and Brett Palko, all of Hampton VA and brother Ralph Banks Jr. and his wife Grace of Comfort NC.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:30 pm on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at First United Methodist Church Fox Hill, 1 Salt Pond Rd., Hampton, followed by a service at 1:30 with Pastors Brian Sixbey and Tommy Markham officiating. A private inurnment will be held at Parklawn Memorial Park.
The family extends their sincere appreciation to the members of Hospice of Virginia for their attentive care of Margaret and assistance to her family during a difficult period. Special thanks are extended to Hospice RN Mrs. Chris Kling and Hospice Aide Mrs. Shawna Greene and devoted caregivers Cecelia Nelson and Amy McGraw.
