She was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson and Grace Tibbitt; four brothers, Nick, Nelson, Jerry and Frank Tibbitt; and two sister-in-laws, Rosemary Tibbit and Jane Tibbitt.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Leon Moon; four children, Deborah Townsend, John (Bubba) Townsend, William (Paul) Townsend (Alie), and Grace Zareo (Sean); 10 grandchildren who were the light of her life, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 sister-in-laws, Debbie Tibbitt and Jean Tibbitt.
Margaret was one of the strongest women you could know, an amazing entrepreneur, above all an amazing wife, mother, and Granny/Mom-Mom Moon. The void of her absence will never go away, but the peace of knowing she is no longer in pain will live forever.
A Remembrance and Honoring will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 2:00PM with the Mausoleum Chapel at Parklawn Memorial Park, 2551 N. Armistead Ave. Hampton, VA. 23666, followed by a short walk to the Inurnment at 3:00PM.
