Marie T Fourastie

Born in Cholon, South Vietnam on 6 June 1927, Marie came to the US in 1973 to live with her daughter, son-in-law, and grandson at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri. In 1976, she travelled to Germany then onto France where she rejoined her husband, Louis Fourastie, who returned from Vietnam after the fall of Saigon. She resided in France for 40 years; after the passing of her husband in 2008, she came to live with her daughter and family permanently in 2016.

Marie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Andree and Charles Lupico of Poquoson; grandson Jean-Louis and his wife Shea Lupico, great-grandsons Blake and Brice Lupico of Newport News; her brother Le Van Dan and sister Le Thi Mai of Vietnam; nephews and nieces of Vietnam, Hawaii, California, Minnesota, Canada, France, Australia, and Japan.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, 19 December 2025, at St Joseph’s Catholic Church (512 Buckroe Ave, Hampton, VA) with live streaming at https://www.facebook.com/SJCHampton.

Reception will follow at Cordier Hall, adjacent to the church.
