Michael Anthony Brown

Sam was a painter for Hampton Roads Contracting, Inc. He was a compassionate man who was always willing to give to others. Sam was a member of the Moose Lodge #1514, and he was a dedicated Redskins and Nascar fan, especially drivers #3 and #88.

Sam was preceded in death by his father, Robert Samuel Brown, Sr.; uncles, Cecil and Howard Brown; aunts, Edna Brown and Margrette Lubno; and grandmothers, Granny Pat and Lula Wright.

He is survived by his mother, Sue Carpenter; step-father, Ray Carpenter; son, Brandon Byrd; brother, Bo Brown; uncles, Paul Lubno, Buddy Brown (Janet), and Richard Brown (Brenda); aunt, Carolyn Haley; step-brothers, Tracy and Billy Creech; step-sister, Lisa Burgess; step-mom, Linda Brown; former wife, Rebecca Brown; stepsons, Noah and Nolin; and best friend, Wayne Crabtree and Renee.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 pm on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home.
