Michael Lee Davis

Mike was born September 9, 1949 in Prince Edward County, Virginia to Harold & Virginia Davis. He was a life long resident of Hampton Roads. Mike served with the Newport News Police Department from the 1960’s to 1980. He then went on to do what he really enjoyed, being a chef. Cooking for everyone who would let him. He also loved reading anything, especially car books, writing poetry, fishing, spending time with his friends and his children.

Mike is survived by his two children Scott Davis of Hampton, Va., and Kristine Hoeft of Decatur, IL. His brother Mark Davis of Elberon, Va. and sister Sherry Davis of Laramie, Wy. Also his grandchildren Cameron Powell of Cape Coral, Fl., Elliott Cole Davis & Samantha Leatherman of Hampton, Va., Zachery Hoeft, Emma Rose Hoeft, Sophie K. Hoeft all of Decatur, IL. and His fur-kids and faithful Basset Hounds Olive & Violet. In-laws, Nieces and nephews, Delores, Nancy, Lori, Suzy, AJ, Melissa,Tiffany, Jason, Andrea and Blake. Many others, including his life long friends Jim Webster of Newport News, Va. and Dennis “DJ” Johnson of Fl., his coworkers from the Elk’s #366 of Hampton. Lodge, Bob, Jimmy, Robert, Buddy, Linda, Michelle, Chris, Sue, Steve, all just like family to Mike.

We can all rest knowing he is now with his brothers Patrick and Glenn along with his loving parents Virginia and Harold.
