

He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Newport News. He served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1979 to 1983. He enjoyed golf and was an avid Redskins fan, but the focus of his life was his son Jacob.
Preceding him in rest is his mother, Inge Thibodeau. Surviving members of his family include his son, Jacob Michael Thibodeau and his mother, Kimberly Thibodeau Oakes, both of Charlottesville; father, Donald Thibodeau of Newport News; brothers, Peter Thibodeau and wife Diane of Petersburg, Stephen J, Thibodeau and wife Pam of Newport News; sisters, Patricia Thibodeau of Hampton, Renee Schantz and husband Ned of Pennsylvania, Donna Silva and husband Walter of Williamsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends, Saturday morning, November 27, 2010 from 10:30 t0 12:00, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Following the visitation, a Mass of the Resurrection will take place at 12:00 at the Church. Interment, with military honors, will be in Hampton – Veterans Memorial Gardens.
