Michelle Alexandra Hanley

Michelle was the daughter of William H. Gehling Jr and Pamela A. Gehling (Stone). She was the wife to Jason James Hanley, Sr. for 32 years that will be forever cherished. She was known for her dedication for helping others- as Michelle would say, “People come first”. She loved to travel, explore, and try new things. Michelle was very dedicated to attending Achilles Friends Church, including being a Sunday School teacher for many years.

Michelle is preceded in death by her parents: William H. Gehling Jr, and Pamela A. Gehling (Stone); her brother, William H. Gehling, III. She is survived by her husband, Jason James Hanley, Sr.; son, Jason James Hanley, Jr. (Jessica); sisters: Heidi Adams (Mike), and Melissa Premo (Gary); brothers: Timothy Gehling (Lisa), Shawn Gehling (Becky), Steven Baxter, Stewart Baxter (Julianne), and Matthew Gehling (Erica); and her sweet grandson, Grayson Hanley.

The family will receive friends for a funeral service at Achilles Friends Church on Friday, June 20, 2025 at 10:00 am, with a repast to follow. Michelle will be placed to rest in the Niche column at Albert G. Horton, Jr Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, VA at 3:00 pm.
