Patricia Elizabeth Smith

Patricia E. Smith, age 76, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2012 in Woodford, Virginia. She was a native of Graham, NC and a resident of Hampton for over 50 years. Patricia was a member of Women of the Moose, Lodge 1514, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW, Phoebus and a member of Indian Acres Club of Thornburg.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years as well as her parents. She is survived by her son, Steven Smith and his wife, Debra of Woodford; 2 daughters, Gloria Bassett of Staunton, VA and Mary Smith of Woodford; 1 sister, Barbara Ann Whitt of NC; sister in law Cleta Thompson; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive family and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Patricia's life will be held at11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 17, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
