Phyllis Zane Garris

Phyllis was born in New Jersey to the late Dorothy and Philip Zane. She attended Pennsville High School. Phyllis worked as a medical records clerk for 7 years. She was a member of Warwick Assembly of God and a past member of Fellowship of Christian Firefighters Association.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Malcolm P. Garris; son, Raymond (Shannon) of West Point, VA; grandsons, Cody and Chad Garris; daughter, Heather (Kevin) Matthews of Hampton, VA; grandson, Kevin Matthews, Jr.; granddaughter, Kayla Matthews; sisters, Dorothea (Kenneth) Henson of Pennsville, NJ and Susan (Ashton) Barnabei of Watertown, SD; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Monday, December 22 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Phyllis’ life will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, December 23 at Warwick Assembly of God, 1228 Todds Lane, Hampton. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
