Raymond "Ray" Gene Milliman

Ray was preceded in rest by his parents Richard and Juliana Milliman of Hampton, Virginia and his daughter Ginny Elizabeth. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sheila Milliman of Hampton; his sons, Michael Milliman (Judith) of Hampton, Adam Milliman (Angela) of Virginia Beach, and Matthew Milliman of Hampton; 2 daughters, Diana Milliman and Amanda Milliman, both of Hampton; 9 grandchildren, Christopher, Elijah, Annamarie, Nova, Ginny, Lilian, Sean, Winter and Haleigh; 4 brothers, Robert Milliman (Christa), Dennis Milliman (Christine), Gary Milliman (Sharon), and Marc Milliman (Twila); 2 sisters, Nancy Berryman (Jay) and Patricia Milliman.

Raymond retired from the Newport News Shipyard as a machinist after 17 years of service. After a brief time in retirement, he decided to return to work and worked an additional 20 years at Target.

Ray is dearly loved by his family and very well respected by all who met him; he will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm; all family and friends are welcomed to attend. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at 10:30 am with interment to follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
