Surviving him are his wife Gina; sons Rob (Mackenzie), Adam (Lisa) and Nathan (Heather); daughter Colleen (Sal Liguria); sister, Mary Thibodeaux (Jerry); brothers Chris (Betsy) and Pat (Susan) and many nephews and nieces.
He was employed with Newport News Shipbuilding/Northrop Grumman for more than 30 years.
Bob was dearly loved by those who knew him as Dad, Pops, Bro, friend and husband. In the words of his son, “He lived life so fully, the container couldn’t hold it.” Bob was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed shooting, fishing and hunting, often despite doctor’s orders. He loved to go camping, play practical jokes, and sit around a fire and share stories while The Highwaymen played in the background.
Bob loved his dog, Boy, and riding his Harley. He loved life, a good laugh and time with his family and friends. He left a mark on every life he touched, and not all knew, but many suspected he was all heart. His tears dancing with his daughter on her wedding day, his affectionate nicknames (Tootse), his need to raise his boys as strong, capable men—so much to love and remember.
