Sally Perney Pratt, 74, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017. She was born in Hampton, traveled in retirement for twelve years, back and forth to Florida in a recreational vehicle, and had settled in Yorktown for the past six years.
Sally was preceded in rest by her parents, Winfield Russell Perney and Sally Margaret Tolley, and her grandparents, William and Myrtle Ferguson and Paul and Sophia Perney.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Charles L. Pratt; son, Daniel E. Wright; daughters, Wendy S. Wright and Rita W. Farley; five grandchildren, Ashley Harrison, Brandie Wright, Brooke Wright, Adam Farley, and Brandon Wright; son-in-law, Christopher L. Farley; and daughter-in-law, Julie G. Wright.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Sally’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 6, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
