Shelia B. Plank

She was the eldest daughter of the late Southgate L. and Phyllis F. Butt. She is survived by her husband, Terry R. Plank, Sr.; her daughter, Breea A. Staton, her husband, Raymond Staton, Jr. and their daughter Bailey; her son, Terry R. Plank, Jr., his wife Alexis and their children, Samantha and Austin; her sister, Terry B. Brubaker and her husband, Craig; sister-in-law, Carol Morgan and her husband Dugan; father-in-law, Ernest R. Plank; brother-in-law, Ernest E. (Skip) Plank; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Shelia enjoyed the outdoors and tending to her flowers. She loved to read and enjoyed her time volunteering at Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids, NC. Most of all, she loved spending time with her friends, children and grandchildren whether at Lake Gaston, at their homes or every July in the Outer Banks.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, with a memorial service to follow at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Church of Christ Scientist, 2808 Kecoughtan Road, Hampton, VA 23661 or to a charity of your choice.
