Mr. Hazen served honorably in the U.S. Navy. He later earned his Master of Divinity from Duke University and retired as a minister.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Eddice T. Hazen; son, Jason Walker Hazen; daughter, Traci Hazen Brandenburg; sister, Devarah Walker Lovett; brother, Don Hazen; half-sisters, Deborah Wade and Bonnie Walker; and half-brother, David Hazen.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 20, 2012 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Timothy's life will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, July 21, at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
