She was born on January 1, 1951, in Richwood, West Virginia. She attended West Virginia Tech where she studied Chemical Engineering, but found her passion in culinary arts. She dedicated much of her career to her role as a chef - she started out as a line cook and worked her way up to first cook at Williamsburg Inn. Her culinary talents extended beyond the workplace- cooking and baking were among her greatest joys.
Sue brought warmth and kindness to those around her throughout her life. She expressed her care and generosity through food as she loved bringing meals and goods to friends and family to enjoy.
Sue is loving remembered by her daughter, Diane Roman; grandchildren, Alex and Diego Roman; sisters, Lyda Pauley and Margaret Spooner; brothers, Nelson Seabolt, Patrick Seabolt, Tommy Glenn Seabolt, Jennings “Johnny” Seabolt and numerous nieces and nephews who cherished their time with her.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Ludella and Henry Seabolt and beloved friends Bucky Buckert and Gary Oakes.
