

Wallace was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Dunn, NC. As a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Newport News Lodge 1119, he served as an international officer on the Moose Charities Board for many years and was a Pilgrim of The Order.
He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN, Christopher Newport University, Newport News, VA, and The College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, VA.
Serving in the U.S. Air Force, his military career spanned 33 years, and at his retirement had obtained the rank of Chief Master Sergeant.
Preceding him in rest are his father, mother and step-father, William Pernon McLamb, Maggie Jones Oakley and Kinnie Oakley; and sister, Ella Kimball.
Surviving members of his family include his niece, Karen Kimball of NY; nephews, Kenneth Kimball and wife Donna of San Diego, CA and their daughter Kristin Kimball of Dallas, TX, Michael Kimball and wife Beth and their sons David and Matthew of San Diego, CA, Brian Kimball of St. George, UT, his cousin Brenda Brady and Husband, Ricky, of Selma, NC, and special Friends: Alice Bradley, and Herman Meredith Jr.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Jan. 20 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A funeral service, with Moose Lodge and military honors, will follow at 7 p.m. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Dunn, NC.
