January 28,1954 at Morrisania Hospital, Bronx New York.
She attended P.S. 35 then Wade Junior High and was an advanced honors
graduate from Taft High School, Bronx NY.
While in high school she was senior senator of the student counsel and since had
a passion for politics through her existence. Because of her political obsessions
and favored conversations, it comes as no surprise to those who knew her, that
she took the opportunity to cast her early vote for the 2020 election and proudly
announced it to whomever would listen.
Shortly after high school she attended Bronx Community College where she
obtained her Associates Degree and soon after achieved her greatest
accomplishment which was giving birth to Lakeisha Monique Daniels. Her pride
and joy.
Wendy as affectionately known, made a career in health information
management. She worked at North Central Hospital, Bronx, New York for 9 years
prior to relocating to Hampton Virginia. As a Health Information Technician, she
worked for Sentara Careplex for 22 years. As a professional, she was well
respected within her role, to include her working relationships which flourished
into life long friendships and honorary family.
Wendy, a mother, sister, aunty, and friend was truly a humanitarian who came to
know Christ. She was baptized at the Church of Revelation in Bronx NY and
served as a praise and worship leader. Her joy in the lord was recognized by
many and she often invited others to church for salvation. That character and
strength transcended into her always caring for others. She opened her heart
and home to friends and relatives whenever someone was in need. Although,
she could be serious at times, she had an infectious sense of humor. Her love for
music and dancing made her memorable as the life of the party. Her closest
relatives named her ‘Beyonce’ due to her queen like takeover on the dancing
floor. Her extreme love for her daughter Lakeisha, nieces, nephews, and
Lakeisha’s friends was profound and contributed to her continued youthfulness.
Wendy was proceeded in death by her mother Gladys Daniels, Father Ephram
Rush, Brother Harold Daniels, sister Sandra Elizabeth Lowrance, Nephews Marc
Johnson, and Everton C. White.
She leaves to mourn her siblings; Gilda Johnson,
Earline Daniels, Margaret Daniels-Ryan, Barry Daniels, Daughter Lakeisha M.
Daniels, a host of nieces and nephews (Whom she told each of them that they
were her favorite :)), and beloved best friends.
