William Melvin LaNeave

William "Billy" Melvin LaNeave, 71, a lifelong resident of Hampton, died on Wednesday, June 19, 2013. Billy was a member of Hampton Baptist Church, The Order of the Moose, and Elks Lodge # 366 in Hampton. He retired from NNI as an engineer. Billy enjoyed racing cars and motorcycles and enjoyed playing pool, as well. A special thanks to the Tri-Star motorcycle family. Survivors include his son, Chris LaNeave (Teresa); brother, Thomas LaNeave (Jean); granddaughter, Hollie LaNeave; long-term friend and companion, Carol Goodbody and her daughter, Marion Sartor (Andy); nephews, John LaNeave (Beth) and Bobby LaNeave; great-nephew, Nathan LaNeave; great-niece, Madison LaNeave; and cousin, Jay Lee Rideout. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A Graveside Service at Parklawn Memorial Park will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, June 26. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 1701 N.
