

Born on August 17, 1932 in Washington D.C., William served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952-1979. He served in the Korean War at nineteen years old, as well as the Vietnam War as a ground support Airmen on Guam, in which he was in charge of fueling air craft bombers en route to Vietnam. His loving family was with him during the time he served on Guam.
After his service on Guam, William then reported to his duty station at Langley Air force Base in Hampton, Virginia and continued working there until his retirement, which began his civil service career at the Norfolk Naval shipyard. For the following sixteen years, William worked in the shipyard, refueling air craft carriers.
William is survived by his wife, Virginia, of sixty-four years; his daughter, two sons, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters.
William, "Randy" was a sports fanatic who loved the Washington Redskins, Atlanta Braves and the Washington Nationals. He also loved music. Some of his favorite artists were Mario Lanza, Henry Mancini, The Three Tenors, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. He also loved watching his favorite TV shows.
William never met a stranger he didn't like and was truly a remarkable man. He loved the Lord, cherished his wife and adored all of his children and grandchildren. He will truly be missed.
