Alice Diaz-Contreras

Alice was a loving wife and caring mother to every person that walked through her door. She had a very nurturing way about her that made everyone love her. Her kind heart and beautiful spirit radiated and she genuinely cared for all those in her life. She always put everyone’s needs before her own and asked for nothing in return. She had an appreciation for the simple things and was thankful for everything she had. We are blessed to have had such a great woman in our lives.

Alice is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ted Contreras Sr. Together they had four sons: Paul and daughter in-law Teresa; Anthony and his wife Tami; Ted Jr and his wife Liza; and Victor and his wife Cami. Her family was further extended with 19 grandchildren: Paul Michael, Brennen, Gavin, Summer, Chloe, Jackson, Danielle, Jaden, Brianne, Sierra, Alyssa, Aaliyah, Adam, Mattison, Matthew, Christopher, Audrey, Victor, and Kaden. She had one great-grandchild, Malachi. Alice is also survived by her siblings: Connie Diaz, Chala Gonzalez, Bertha Contreras, Norma Huerta, Ofelia Figeroa, and Eva Garcia.

Our family would like to thank all who supported us with prayers and kindness during this difficult time. We invite you to join us in celebrating her life on January 7, 2014 at the People’s Funeral Chapel located at 501 N. Douty Street, Hanford CA. Viewing will begin at 11 am with services to follow at noon.
