

“Bea", as she was affectionately known, was born in Aguilar, Colorado on September 25, 1928, to Juanita (Nuanes) and Jose Casimiro Aragon. Bea will be remembered as an extraordinary wife, mom, grandma, and great grandma. She had a heart of gold and was a regular volunteer at the community hospital in Hanford, California. She kept all the elderly in her neighborhood company, cooked them delicious meals, and cleaned their homes all from the kindness of her heart. She was a great role model to her grandchildren whom she took every summer and holiday when possible.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons Emilio Herrera and his wife Donna, Arthur Herrera and girlfriend Carol, grandkids Luz Casillas and husband Gary, Angie Herrera, Arthur Herrera and wife Cynthia, Vanessa Herrera and boyfriend Felix, Beatrice Cordoza and husband Ruben, Erica Herrera, Carlos Aviles, Maliyah Martinez, and Thomas Parra along with numerous great grandchildren and Stepchildren Bobby, Peter, David and Irma Ortega.
She is preceded in death by her husband Pete Ortega, brother Robert Aragon and wife Petrie, Lee Aragon and wife Delfina, Emilio Aragon, sister Vera LaCrue and husband Orlando, along with grandsons Rudy and Arthur Herrera.
The family wishes to thank Hoffman Hospice of Bakersfield, California and People’s Funeral Chapel of Hanford, California for making this transition as easy as possible.
