Beth was born in Gilbert, Arizona on April 14, 1932 as the younger of two children. At a very early age she worked alongside her parents in the fields, earning enough money to purchase her own tricycle. This type of hard work and persistence led Beth to hold many exciting jobs including fry cook, chicken hatchery manager and store detective. However, her most cherished profession was serving as a school bus driver, where she formed lifetime connections with students and co-workers.
Some of her favorite hobbies included race car driving, frogging, fishing, playing slot machines, writing poetry and cooking. Her perfectly prepared cornbread, fried potatoes and beans were a family favorite. Additionally, one of her greatest accomplishments was receiving an award for her published poetry book, Reach Out and Touch if Only for a Moment.
Beth’s sense of humor, witty comebacks and loving, protective nature will be missed by her family and friends.
