Charles Edward Williams Jr. was born on February 21, 1941, in Natchez, Mississippi to Charles and Viola Williams. On June 27, 2018, in Hanford, California, he was called home to be with the Lord at the age of 77.
Charles was raised in Ferriday, Louisiana, and joined the Army on August 9, 1961. He married
Azelena Moungle Williams, and after receiving an honorable discharge, they moved to California. He
worked as a Fuller Brush Salesman and later as a Tire Builder for the Pirelli Armstrong Tire
Corporation. He retired after 32 years of service.
Charles was a dedicated member of Grace Baptist Church of Lemoore, formerly pastored by Joe
Gruchacz, where he served as an elder. He was always there to help family and friends. He loved
nurturing God's Green Earth through landscaping and gardening. He enjoyed taking long drives in the
country to admire nature's beauty and creatures. Most of all, he was determined to catch that "big one" out there on the fish banks.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to cherish his memory and celebrate his life,
one son: Bruce Williams, two daughters: Kathy and Brenda Williams. An ex-wife: Azelena Williams.
One sister: Willie B. Lloyd; two nieces: Sherria Martin and Mary Prater; two nephews: Michael and Rodney Lloyd, and a host of cousins and friends.
