On the evening of April 27, 2024 Duaine Isaac Hodson passed away in his home surrounded by his loved ones in Hanford, CA. Duaine was born in Corcoran, CA to Isaac and Gladys Hodson on January 31, 1936. He grew up in Waukena, CA with 6
brothers and 4 sisters. When he was in the 9th grade, he quit school to go to work with his dad on the family farm.
In the 6th grade, Duaine met Anna in school. They were later married at the age of 18 on January 21, 1955 at the
preacher’s house in Tulare, CA. Duaine and Anna had 2 children, Cheryl and Lanett. They started their family in Waukena
then eventually moved to Hanford to raise them on the family farm.

marksmen and sharpshooter who held a rifle M1 badge for 8 years. He was honorably discharged on January 31, 1962.
In 1980, Duaine and Anna retired at the age of 44 year’s old. They would travel living part time in Gold Beach, Oregon in
the summer and Lake Havasu, Arizona in the winter while still visiting their family in Hanford, Ca.
After Duaine and Anna finished their chapter traveling for retirement, they settled in Hanford, CA. Duaine loved watching
his great grandchildren. He enjoyed playing with them, going to their baseball games, watching them play whiffle ball in
the backyard or just listening to them tell their stories. His great grandchildren were his world.
Duaine was strong willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart. He was clever and full of knowledge
gained through all of his life experiences as a farmer, farm equipment mechanic, his military experience, fisherman and
hunter. Duane could fix or build anything.
Duaine enjoyed racing motorcycles, pheasant and deer hunting as well as lake and deep sea fishing with his brothers, wife
Anna and many friends. He was also a HUGE Nascar fan and he never missed a race. His favorite drivers were Dale
Earnhardt, Sr., Jimmy Johnson, and Chase Elliott.
