

Ed was born in Fresno, CA to proud parents, Robert and Hinda Hammond. The family soon relocated to Hanford, where Ed attended Hanford schools. Ed graduated from Hanford High and furthered his education at Fresno State University, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree.
Upon Retirement in 2015, Ed’s later career was spent working in the Fork Lift Industry. Besides family, Ed found a passion in Trap Shooting. Over the years, he won numerous awards, plaques and belt buckles. He served Trap Clubs throughout California and sat as President for both The Tulare County Trap Club and for the CGSTA in 2015-16.
Ed is survived by his loving wife, Kathy of 13 years, his son Lee (Alba) Hammond of Visalia, and extended daughters Erin Gonzales and Reagen (Justin) Hardin of Hanford. Together they gave Ed seven beautiful and energy-filled grandchildren. Ed is also survived by his devoted brother Rodney Hammond as well as brother-in-law and best friend Craig Ferreira, both of Hanford. Ed leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Hinda Hammond.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11 am on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Grangeville Cemetery; 10428 14th Ave, Armona.
