Sal was full of life. He was a strong man with a strong presence, a contagious laugh, a warm smile, and dance moves that made everyone want to join him on the dance floor. Whether you knew him for years or had just met him, he had a remarkable way of making you feel like family. He loved deeply, laughed often, and always showed up for the people in his life without hesitation.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend who found joy in being around his family, cheering his grandson on at soccer and baseball games, rooting for the Raiders, traveling the world, scuba diving, and golfing.
Sal dedicated his life and career to serving others. He spent decades working in social services in Fresno and Kings Counties, retiring from Kings County after an accomplished career. He served as a Social Services Supervisor and Program Manager, where he worked in eligibility, adult services, and child welfare. Sal was known as a compassionate and dedicated public servant who devoted his life to protecting children, strengthening families in crisis, and supporting people through their most difficult times.
He lived a life defined by hard work, loyalty, integrity, and love. He could fix anything, give the best advice, and make sure everyone he cared about was taken care of. His hands built a life for his family, and his heart held them all together.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Susan. Sal and Susan spent more than half of their lives together, sharing a deep and lasting love that will live on beyond their lifetimes.
