Ernest Hernandez Munoz Sr

Ernest H. Muñoz passed away on December 12, 2016 at the age of 72 in Hanford, Ca. He was born on August 6, 1944 to Arturo and Vera Muñoz in Casa Grande, Arizona. Ernie spent most of his childhood in the Bay area but moved to Laton, Ca in 1973 to raise his family with his former wife Lupe Cortez.

He is survived by his two sisters Maryhelen Caballero of Hanford and Virginia Martinez of Fresno and two brothers Peter and Frank Contreras of San Jose, Ca; daughter Veronica Chavez and husband Anthony; son Ernie Muñoz and wife Damaris all of Hanford, Ca; daughters Aurora, Georgette and Beatrice all of the Bay area; five grandchildren Daniel Muñoz and wife Erica of Visalia, Jonathan Muñoz of Sacramento, A.J. Cabello of Hanford, Natalie Muñoz of Rocklin and Emily Chavez of Hanford; three great-grandsons Marcus and Joshua Muñoz of Visalia and Zaide Cabello of Hanford. He is preceded in death by his Mother and Father, sister Alice Leon, brothers Raymond, Albert and Richard Contreras, Paul Galindo and stepmother Juana Muñoz.

A Memorial Service will be take place on Friday, December 30th 2016 at 11 am at People's Funeral Chapel; 501 N. Douty St, Hanford, CA. A reception will follow at 323 E. 11th St. Hanford, CA in the Fellowship Hall. Arrangements under the direction of People's Funeral Chapel.
