Ethel Funchess

July 2, 1919 – December 30, 2017

Ethel Elizabeth Funchess daughter of Dr. and Mrs. A.C. Jamison passed away on December 30, 2017 in Hanford, CA. Ethel was born on July 2, 1919 in Davenport, Iowa.

Ethel was preceded in death by her husband Jack Funchess and son-in-law George Carroll. She is survived by her 3 children; Gary Funchess & wife Pam of Hanford, CA, Sharon Carroll of Bend, OR and Mark Funchess & wife Tammy of Bend, OR. She also leaves behind 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Ethel belonged to the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for 60 plus years and the Red Hats. She especially enjoyed making miniature doll houses; some taking years to complete. Ethel was known for her giving and caring personality and will be greatly missed by family and friends. Ethel loved to travel and made trips around the world with family and friends.

A Celebration of Ethel’s life will be held on Saturday, January 6th at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church; 505 N. Redington St., Hanford, CA 93230.
