

Eugene was born to Grant and Arkie Richardson on July 1, 1916 in Ash Flat Arkansas. He grew up in Ash Flat, Arkansas where he met and married the love of his life Geneva. They were married 72 years, till her passing in 2009.
Eugene wanted to join the military, but was denied because of his hearing loss. He brought his family to California to give them all a better life. They moved from Arkansas to Richmond, Ca. where he worked in the shipyards, this was his way of contributing to WWII. Later they moved to Hanford where he resided till his death. He was also a master carpenter, building many homes in the Hanford area. Eugene and his brother Jack built the Church of Christ on 10th Avenue.
Eugene is survived by his daughter’s Neva Jean Rhea of Bakersfield, Dorothy Scott-Richardson and husband Ranyard of Corcoran, brother’s Jack and wife Tommy Richardson, Donald Grant and wife Billie Richardson of Ash Flat, Arkansas. Six Grandchildren Cheryl Bradford and companion Gail Spanel of Bakersfield, Jammie Hammond and Husband Steve of Tulare, Denise Mowdy and husband Steve of Bakersfield, Kevin Rhea and wife Sandy of Bakersfield, Rhonda Marlow and companion Larry of Corcoran, Patricia Rhea-Caton and companion Terry Courtright of Bakersfield. Eight great grandchildren Chasity Sanchez, Brandon Caton, Jerod Rhea, Korie Rhea, Robert Marlow, Jodi Broome, Dillon Mowdy and Jonathan Hammond. Ten great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at People’s Funeral Chapel on Friday, November 9, 2012 from 11-1 p.m. with a Graveside service to follow at 1:30 p.m. at Grangeville Cemetery 10428 14th Avenue Armona, Ca.
