Eva Ruiz Swanger

Eva Swanger was born on August 5, 1944 in Martinez, California to Lawrence and Evelyn Ruiz. She lived a life filled with adventure and valued relationships above all else. Her sense of humor and ability to connect with people was a rare gift that anyone who knew here was blessed to experience. Her levity and loving ways will be sorely missed but will forever live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Lawrence in 1987 & Evelyn Ruiz in 2010 and a granddaughter; Rebecca D. Swanger in 1988.

Eva had been a resident of Hanford, California where she passed with her family at her side on Monday, December 15, 2014. Eva married the love of her life of almost 48 years; Floyd R. Swanger. Together they had their two children; Evelyn R. Westmoreland & husband Brad of Hanford, California and Michael W. Swanger & wife Deanna of Ronald, Washington.

She will forever be cherished by her loving grandchildren; David L. McIntyre & wife Nicky, Ryan K. Westmoreland, Mathew R. Swanger, Shelby Knevelbaard & husband Matthew, Jessica E. Swanger, Leah J. Swanger and Logan V. Swanger. She will also be missed by her precious great-grandchildren; David McIntyre, Adam McIntyre, Tyler Swanger, Emily Swanger, Duke Knevelbaard and Cadence Knevelbaard.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church; 750 E. Grangeville Boulevard, Hanford, CA 93230.
