Glenn Allen Tuck, age 94, beloved husband, father, and teacher of many Avenal students, has gone on to his corner couch seat in heaven to wait for Patsy and other family members, blood and extended, to show up for family dinner.
Glenn was born in 1928 in Lemoore, CA, and lived most of his life in Kettleman City and Avenal. Mr. Tuck was a teacher for 42 years, most of those teaching Social Studies at Avenal Middle School, where he significantly impacted many students' lives. Mr. Tuck treated all kids in his class with respect, and in return was respected and loved by the students.
Glenn’s greatest love was his wife, Patsy. Patsy played a part in turning Glenn’s life around, and they would be married for 74 years! He told her that it was his goal to have a big family, and they succeeded with five children, 13 grandkids, 21 great-grandkids, four great-great-grandkids, and several unofficial extended family members.
One of Glenn’s other great loves was the annual summer camping trip, usually taken at Cedar Grove in Kings Canyon. Here he could catch trout, eat great food, build a fire to sit around, and most importantly, be surrounded by family and invited friends.
He will be loved and will be missed by all.
