Jennifer Nadine Thompson - Mathis

Jennifer was born on March 4, 1959 in San Diego, California and loving adopted to Arnold and Nadine Cardoza. Jennifer attended schools in Sand Diego before moving on to Utah to complete her LVN Medical Technician. From there she moved to Arizona where she met and married Douglas Thompson. Her greatest sources of pride were her two children. Jennifer had a great passion for life and most of the time lived her life on her terms. She was known for her infectious laugh, high energy and generous spirit. She loved people, animals and most of all her family. In 2010, Jennifer moved to Hanford, California to live and care for her aging mother. Shortly afterward she met and married her current husband Reed Mathis in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 4, 2019. Most recently Jennifer was very proud of receiving her Master Reiki Certification and was looking forward to setting up her practice to help people with alternative energy healing.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her father and mother, Arnold & Nadine Cardoza; and grandparents Manuel and Lena Bettencourt.

Jennifer is survived by her husband Reed, her children: Audrina and Eric, her brother Neal Cardoza (Donna), aunts and many cousins.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 3pm at People's Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation or to any charity of choice.
