John David Reynolds

John was born and raised in Pontiac Michigan until he and his family moved to Clarkston. Upon graduation from Clarkston high in 1957, John joined the Air Force and became a fireman for the "search & rescue" division based out of Texas. After leaving the Air Force John moved to Ypsilanti Michigan where he met Pamela Reynolds and worked for the Fire Department at Willow Run Airport.

In 1963 John and Pam got married and they chose to use their honeymoon as an opportunity to travel across the country so they could start their new lives together out in California.

In 1969 John moved his family to Bakersfield where he worked as a salesman while trying to obtain a degree from U. C. Bakersfield. John soon gained employment at Safeco Title Company. It wasn't long before he worked his way up the ladder into an Assistant Manager Job. And after accepting a Branch Manager position in 1979, Safeco Title sent John and his family here to Hanford.

But in 1983, John realized although becoming a Branch Manager was a great accomplishment, it wasn't his true calling because he was a salesman at heart. That is when he decided to use his knowledge in the "mortgage" field with his abilities as a salesman and became a Licensed Insurance Agent here in the state of California. John continued to be an independent insurance salesman for 25 years until he retired in 2008.

John enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Kings Country Club for many years. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his dog "Sandy".

John is survived by his brother Charles Horsch (Maureen) of Bakersfield, his daughters Kim Saffeels (Randy) and Jodi Estrada, his granddaughters Whitney Augusto (David) and Kylee Saffeels and his great granddaughter McKenna Silva all of Hanford.

John is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Lolita Horsch of Michigan.

The family of John Reynolds would like to invite everyone to join them in a Memorial / Celebration of Life being held at the Kings Country Club 3529 12th Ave Hanford, CA on Saturday, January 31, 2015 @ 1pm.
