Jose “Pepe” Salas, age 29 of Hanford, entered eternal rest on October 8, 2009. He was born on July 5, 1980 in Salinas to Gabriel and Rosa Salas.Pepe was the type of man that was sure of himself. He put his family first. He adored his “Vieja” and his 3 children. Pepe loved to spend time at home, playing with his kids, or watching the Cowboys or Yankees play. He was a thoughtful, caring husband. Pepe was a great son, a great brother and an awesome uncle. He loved being physical whether at work, playing sports, or working out. He was proud of his strength and he was very competitive. Pepe was very respectful to others and he always had that smile on his face. He touched many people’s lives because he was a great man. Always willing to help, strong willed, very intelligent, brave, but above all, he had a great big heart.
