June Nina Shelton

June Nina Shelton, 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday January 4, 2015. Born in McAlester Oklahoma to parents Wiley J Barger and Ethel Mae Barger on June 11, 1932 she was one of nine children. She attended Hardwick and Laton School and later settled in Hanford, CA where she lived a majority of her life as a homemaker and a bookkeeper for Shelton and Anderson Upholstery. She was happiest while spending time with family and friends.

She was strong in her faith and spent much of her time reading the bible and sharing with others her joy for the Lord.

She was predeceased by her father and mother Willie and Ethel Barger and their first born son who died at birth, her sister Vera Cessna and her husband Jim Shelton.

She leaves behind loving memories to be cherished by her 3 children Randy (Janice) Dunn, Terrie Dunn and Tammi (Steve) Shelton-Whittaker, 5 grandchildren Branden Barajas, Randy Dunn Jr., Ryan O’Barr, Don O’Barr, Darren O’Barr , 11 great grandchildren and her siblings Lois Collins, Jean Cooper, Jeff Barger, Ronnie Barger, Pam Cranshaw and Judy Cardoza.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the Hacienda Health Care Center and all their staff where she was cared for and resided the last 5 years of her life.

Graveside services will be held January 9, 2015 at 1:00pm at Oak Grove Cemetery 19811 Cedar Ave Laton CA.
