Keith Douglas Lowther

He leaves behind his Wife: Sonya Lowther, Son: Torey Garcia, Parents: Norma R. Haines and Charles W. Lowther, Siblings: Bryan Lowther, Wendi Wrey, Wesley Lowther, and Kelley Bush, Step-daughters: Adison Schneider, Cameron Schneider and Jillian Schneider. He was preceded in death by his stepfather David Haines.

He was a loving husband, father, stepfather, son and brother. He loved cooking, fishing, gardening, and was always known for his quick sense of humor and making people laugh. He loved traveling with his wife in their RV to the coast.

Keith was always a hard worker. His first job was a paper route in Armona during grade school. Later in high school he worked at Taco Bell. Soon after high school he worked at Farm Boy in the produce department. He then became a tractor mechanic for Orton’s of Stratford.

In 1994 he went to the Academy for Corrections. After graduating, he was transferred to High Desert Prison in Susanville where he lived for 19 years. He promoted to Sergeant before transferring to SATF in Corcoran in 2012. Within a year he promoted again to Lieutenant. Keith retired from Corrections after 25 yrs of service in June of 2020.

He was well loved by his family and friends, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
