

She was born in Chiba, Japan to the late Yoshio and Yoshi Morikawa. In 1957, she volunteered with the Army as a nurse. It was there she met a young sailor, John Roberts, who was stationed in Japan with the US Navy. A romance followed and they were married. The young couple welcomed their son Alan in 1961. Undaunted, they crossed the Pacific in 1963 on a Navy aircraft carrier to begin their new life in California. After arriving in America, Linda taught herself to read, write and speak English and became a US Citizen in 1966.
Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed spending time in her garden with her flowers. She was a fantastic cook and her lumpias were a family favorite. Linda had a passion for sewing, reading and travel. She was known for her kind heart and a wonderful sense of humor. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, her husband John Roberts and her son Alan Roberts.
She is survived and will be missed by her daughter, daughter-in-law, granddaughters, grandson-in-law, great granddaughter and so many other family and friends.
